Obama vs. McCain on taxes

The Washington Post created a great graphic recently comparing the tax plans of Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain -- and the differences are stark:

There are a few pieces of information worth calling out here -- one is that the bottom three brackets comprise 60% of the taxpaying population. The other is that McCain's plan looks a whole heck of a lot like the tax cuts that George Bush pushed through in 2001 to questionable effect (how's that deficit doing, fellas?) while Obama's plan restores some of the balance in tax payment between rich and poor that existed before the start of the millenium.

Shorter version: one need not believe the spin to recognize that John McCain is more of the same while Obama represents change. Just look at the damned numbers.
