Requiem
It came to me the other day:
Were I to die, no one would say,
“Oh, what a shame! So young, so full
Of promise — depths unplumbable!”
Instead, a shrug and tearless eyes
Will greet my overdue demise;
The wide response will be, I know,
“I thought he died a while ago.”
For life’s a shabby subterfuge,
And death is real, and dark, and huge.
The shock of it will register
Nowhere but where it will occur.

Joan Armatrading - Love & Affection
I really like how the pace of this song takes off. Also, Joan's vocalization in this older video are tip-top. Have a nice and mellow Friday.

Happy Birthday Jimmy Page
I was going to post a video of Led Zepplin today for Jimmy Page's birthday, but YouTube has blocked all the Zepplin video due to copyright infringement. Which is quite ironic considering all the infringing Jimmy did of so many blues standards and others. Now go play a fucking record.

I found these cute cupcake wrappers at shopmodi.
And these salt & pepper shakers are sure original.
Hilarious, it says it even "comes with a screw".
